LEONARD —
Funeral services for Jerline Treadway Ownby, 92-year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Leonard.
Brother Denny Gorena and Brother Morris Robbins will officiate.
Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 9 P.M. today at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.
Mrs. Ownby passed away Sept. 23, 2012, at the Leonard Manor.
She was born Dec. 17, 1919, at Leonard. Her parents were Marcus “Mark” and Edna “Midge” Linnie Vinson Hutton. She was a high school graduate, a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard, and worked for many years as a grocery store clerk.
She is survived by her son, James Treadway of Sanger; her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Gail Ownby of Keller and Randy and Carol Ownby of Trenton; her daughter, Jo Cooper of Leonard; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Ruby Hutton of Bedford; her sister-in-law, Joyce Hutton of Royce City; her 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands: Billy Treadway and Watt Ownby; a sister, Naomi Hutton Brewer; a brother, Kenneth Hutton; a stepdaughter, Nancy Mejia; and a son-in-law, Ronnie Cooper.
The family would like to express a special thank-you to the Leonard Manor for their wonderful care and concern, to Robin Kent and the staff of Primary Care Associates and to the staff of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
