Naomi Ruth Neal, 80, of Rowlett went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 19, 2013, in Garland.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1933, to William Edward and Katherine Lawson in Greenville.
Naomi spent her days as a loving homemaker to her family and was a member of Vansickle Baptist Church.
She was survived by her husband, Norman Neal; sons Donald Ray Neal of Quinlan and Norman Lee Neal Jr. of Greenville; daughters Lavelle Holmes and Wylie of Rowlett, Sharon Baum and Dennis of New Hope, Linda Wynn and Mike of Simmesport, La., Janice Neal of Rowlett and Renee Martin and Benny of Cash; brothers Edward and John Lawson; sisters Mary Elizabeth Byrum and Martha Prator; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph David Lawson.
Her service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Vansickle Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Hart Cemetery in Cash.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
