GREENVILLE — Tyrone “Ronnie” Lee Hill Sr., 72, of Como passed away Oct. 20, 2012, at the Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Winnsboro. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Wieland Church of Christ under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with John Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at the Wieland Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ronnie was born in the Wieland Community on Aug. 21, 1940, to Flavil R. and Leona M. Davenport Hill. He married Delorise Murphy on Jan. 4, 1958, in Durant, Okla. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and worked as a truck driver and welder.

Surviving are his wife, Delorise Hill; sons Tyrone L. Hill Jr. and James Eric Hill; daughters Darlene Nichols and husband David, Brenda Sherman and husband Steve and Linda Hogue and husband James; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Subin, Derrick Nichols, Steve Sherman, David Nichols, James Ray Hogue, Zack Reeves and honorary pallbearers will be Roy Darby and Issiah Subin.

Memorials may be made to the Como Volunteer Fire Department.
