‘Judy’ Boyett

GREENVILLE — Judia “Judy” Darlene Boyett (Johnson), 69, passed away Oct. 17, 2012, in Quinlan.

Judy was born July 22, 1943, to her loving parents, Freddie and Martha Gilshist Johnson in Shaw, Miss. She married the love of her life, James Boyett, on June 30, 1960, in Cleveland, Miss.; they had four children. Judy enjoyed spending time in her kitchen, and she was an amazing cook. She also had a knack for gardening. When she wasn’t doing one of those two things, she was spending precious time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Those left to celebrate her life include her husband, James Boyett; sons Donald Boyett and wife Patty, Keith Boyett and wife Rachelle and David Boyett and wife Sara; a daughter, Wanda Snyder and husband Sean; grandchildren Regina Boyett, James Boyett, Christopher Boyett, Breanne Boyett, Logan Boyett, Keith Boyett, Ashley Boyett, Dallas Boyett, Jade Boyett, Katherine Snyder, Tate Snyder, and Matthew Snyder; and great-grandchildren Lucas, Taylor, Christian, Tristian, D.J. and Sebastian.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Martha Johnson; sibilings Elouise Sanderson, Janet Campbell and Charles “Boots” Johnson; and great-granddaughter Makayla Smith.

Services for Judy Boyett will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Quinlan Funeral Home with internment to follow at Highland Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
