Garry Hugh Riley, 55, of Honey Grove passed away Aug. 8, 2012, in Honey Grove.

He was born Feb. 23, 1957, in McKinney to Benny and Lois Jean Riley.

He was a member of the Shepherds Hill Lane Baptist Church in Celeste and was a sports enthusiast who loved watching the Texas Rangers and the Cowboys.

Garry is survived by his parents; a brother, Benny Gerald and wife Jane Riley of Celeste; sisters Brenda and husband Charles Mercer of Greenville and Linda and husband Terry Sass of Bonham; nephews Brian Riley of Celeste, Jonathan Mercer of Greenville and Stephen Sass of Bonham; numerous great-nephews and nieces; several cousins and extended family and special friend Sue Gooch.

He was preceded in death by his niece, Amanda Riley, and a nephew, David Riley.

His funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Lynch Funeral Service chapel in Greenville with Billy Harris officiating. Interment will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m today at the funeral home.
