GREENVILLE —
Elvira Elizabeth Daugherty, 93, of Greenville passed away March 12, 2013.
She was born in Hunt County on Dec. 24, 1919, to Frank and Agnus (Morrison) Hammack.
She was a devout Christian woman and taught the adult Sunday school class for more than 30 years at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milard Daugherty, daughter Barbara Daugherty, four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Melvin Daugherty and wife Joyce; grandchildren Cindy Rouser, Donna Rose and Debbie Dooley; six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lynch Funeral Service chapel with Bro. Glen Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
