Jesse Lytal

WOLFE CITY —  Jesse Inell Lytal, 92, died peacefully at The Legends Nursing Home in Greenville on Feb. 6, 2013.

Inell was born March 14, 1920, in South Sulphur (near Wolfe City) as the fifth of six children of Jesse James and Neoma Williamson Lytal.

She grew up on a farm and graduated from Wolfe City High School. She moved to Dallas in the ‘40s and went to work for Sears, Roebuck and Co. before beginning a career with Western Union.

After retiring, she and her sister, Bonnie Lytal, moved back to Hunt County to be closer to family.

Inell was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting and needlepoint. Although she never had any children, she was a beloved aunt to her five nieces, three nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Inell was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Burress Lytal and wife Mildred of Wolfe City and Hurlon Lytal and wife Dorothy of Greenville; a sister, Kathleen Shields and husband Charlie of Wylie; and brother-in-law Marion Pierce of Leonard.

She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Lytal of Greenville and Mildred Pierce of Leonard.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City.
