GREENVILLE —
Marcus L. Govan was born Aug. 7, 1959, in Lone Oak to the late Roy Joe and Emma (Ross) Govan; they preceded him in death. Marcus entered into eternal rest Jan. 18, 2013. in Sulphur Springs.
“I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you.” John 14:18.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Markeisha Govan; granddaughter Kylee Smith; three brothers, Douglas Ross (Cheryl) of Killeen, Curtis Govan (Melissa) of Greenville and Donald Govan (Juanita) of Dallas; a sister, Wenneta Govan of Dallas; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and special friend Mattie Graham.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Lone Oak. Interment will be at Rabb Cemetery in Lone Oak.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Grace & Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home in Greenville.
