Dr. Don Brown passed away following a lengthy illness on Friday, June 15, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Letrice. Immediate family members include four sons, one step-son, nine grandchildren two great-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.
Born March 14, 1924 he was a graduate of Highland Park High School, Southern Methodist University, and Southwestern Medical School. While practicing Internal Medicine for 50 years his devotion to his patients, medical expertise, guidance, and commitment was beyond compare.
Memorials are requested to be sent to Mount Carmel Cemetery Association P.O. Box 95 Wolfe City, 75496; Northpark Presbyterian Church “All Saints Fund” 9555 North Central Expressway, Dallas; or Azalea Trails Care Center, 411 Springcreek Road, Grand Saline, Texas 75140.
A memorial service at Northpark Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Brent Barry will be at a later date to be announced.
A private family burial will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City on Monday, June 18, 2012 with Naud Burnett, T.W. Bywaters, Jr. M.D, James Shelton M.D., Larry Hawkins, Al David, and John Withers as honorary pallbearers.
