Weldon Reece Hix, 65 of Cash went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 18, 2012, in Greenville.
A memorial service celebrating Weldon’s life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, with Rev. Roger Ratliff officiating.
Weldon was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Sherman to George Clayton Hix and Katherine Nadine Webb Hix.
He was raised and attended school in the Sherman/Denison area. Weldon was a painter for many years and later he worked for L-3 Communications in Greenville, retiring in 2007 after 10 years of service to that company. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is loved and will be missed by his sons, Larry Hix and wife Karen of Keller, Allen Hix of Cash; one grandson, Ryan Hix of Grapevine; brothers, Dale Hix and wife Carol of Denison, Rickey Hix and wife Lena of Denison.
The family request memorials be made to the Vansickle Baptist Church Youth Fund, 2181 County Road 2246, Greenville, 75402-5086.
