Jane Fox, 64, of Commerce, loving wife, friend and mother, passed away Feb. 22, 2013.

She was born April 1, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Jane received her B.S. and master degrees in biology from SEMO University in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She taught biology laboratory classes at SEMO University and Clemson University in South Carolina.

Jane was very talented and creative. She loved to draw and paint in different media, plus she had many other creative talents. Her flower arrangements, both live and artificial, were outstanding. She passed on this creative talent to her three daughters.

When anyone needed help she was always there for them with common sense, compassion, vision and wisdom.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Norma Bass, and her brother, Donald Bass.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband of 30 years, Haydn “Chip” Fox; daughters Charle Blackburn, Noeve Warren, and Lyla Warren; two grandchildren, Sarah Jane Bolin and Gage Blackburn; her sister, Joyce Ballard; nieces Susan Elliott, Vicky Garrison and Tina Cannon; and nephew John Cannon.

A memorial service for family and friends will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Commerce in the First Baptist Church parlor with Associate Pastor Michael Ryer officiating.

Lynch Funeral Service of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
