GREENVILLE —
Verda Faye Scroggins, 83, passed away Sept. 23, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
Verda Faye was born in Paris, Texas, on March 30, 1929, daughter of Oddie and Roxie (Chambers) Dunmon. She married Leon Morgan (Dock) Scroggins Sr. and had three children. She was a past president of the American Veteran Auxiliary Club 36 of West Tawakoni.
Verda Faye is survived by her sons, Leon Scroggins Jr., Jack Scroggins and Dennis Scroggins; grandchildren Angie Sabo, Dennis “Bubba” Scroggins, and Joe Bob Scroggins; five great-grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Verda Faye was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Dick Dunmon; and an infant sister, Ruby Lee Dunmon.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Quinlan Funeral Home with Bro. Lloyd Catlett officiating. Internment will be at DFW National Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
