GREENVILLE —
Mack ONeil Myers, 80, of Greenville passed away Dec. 18, 2012, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Larry Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born Dec. 29, 1931, in Three Rivers, La., Mack was the son of Jay ONeil Myers and Minnie Kimble Myers. On March 2, 1979, in Greenville, he married Mamie Faye Bybee.
Mr. Myers was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was a self-employed painter.
His survivors include his wife, Faye of Greenville; son Jim McFarlin of South Sulphur, and wife Brenda; daughters Karen Lair of Nevada, Beverly Gilmore and husband Wayne of Greenville and Sharon Stokes of Greenville; brothers Lloyd Dean Myers and Roger Myers of Louisiana and Larry Myers of Texas; sisters Jean Adams of Mississippi, Florence Debataz of Louisiana, and Dottie Fay Howard of Missouri; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Vertus and Johnny Myers; sister Lena Brown; and grandson Vincent Nowlin.
Pallbearers will be Paul Myers, Wayne Gilmore, Jim McFarlin, Dusty Sibley, Jeremy Nowlin, and Tony Cole.
