GREENVILLE —
Mollie B. Gibson, 95, of Greenville passed away June 6, 2012, at Colonial Lodge Tender Care. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born March 27, 1917, in Brashear, Mollie was the daughter of Junius and Bertha (Bowie) McKeown. On March 4, 1939, in Enloe, she married James Russell “Hoot” Gibson, who preceded her in death in 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist church.
Her survivors include her son, Gailen Gibson and wife Ann of Greenville; daughter Gatha (Gibson) Murphy of Greenville; grandchildren Dena Chapman, Dondi Tarrant and Melissa Jenkins; great-grandchildren Jade and Paden Chapman and Ella and Ian Jenkins; two nieces and two nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Arvil McKeown.
Pallbearers will be Brad Tarrant, Paul Jenkins, Dallas Bookout, Jarried Chapman, Bobby Tarrant and Parker Coddington.
