Timothy “Tim” Wayne Smith, 48, of Royse City passed away Feb. 26, 2013.
He was born Nov. 30, 1964, in Garland, to Carl Wayne Smith and Linda Ruth (Nelson) Ussery.
Timothy was a fire alarm technician and volunteer firefighter for the city of Royse City for 12 years.
His biggest dream was to have a wife and children and he felt very blessed to have received those from God.
Tim took great pride and joy in coaching daughter Steffany’s Little League team. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys and Tony Stewart fan, and a member of Community Baptist Church in Royse City.
Tim is survived by his wife, Latresa (Wood) Smith; daughters Jennifer Heffner and husband Nick, Tiffany Smith and Steffany Smith; his mother, Linda Ruth (Nelson) Ussery; sisters Rhonda Lovell and husband Phil and Brandi Spindle and husband Bryan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Wayne Smith, and grandparents Herman (Lefty) and Lois Smith; J.C. Nelson, and A.C. and Juanita Streetman.
Funeral services are at 11:30 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, 900 Pullen, Royse City, with Pastor Les Joslin officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Rest Haven-Rockwall Chapel.
Pallbearers are Phil Lovell, Rusty Streetman, Daniel Najera, Craig Stapleton, Roque Pecina and Kelly Shewmake. Honorary pallbearers are Tim’s nephews, Bryce, Braylen and Braxton Spindle, Ethan Don Roberts and Daniel Najera Jr.
