Bishop Harold W. Pannell departed this life on Aug. 11, 2012, at Hunt Regional Community Hospital in Commerce.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Prophetess Dora M. Harrison Pannell of 24 years in marriage and in the ministry; nine children, Rose Pannell Douglas (Joseph) of Commerce, Anthony W. Pannell and Sharon Ruth (John) of Dallas; Karen Harris and Myiesha Christian (Jeremy) of Lewisville; and Mavon McMurtrie (Joseph), LaTonya Greer, Britt Greer (Mary) and Nolan Greer (Loretta), all of Commerce; adopted daughters Joyce Spoon of Plano, Paula Savage of Commerce, Rhonda Henderson (Harold Wayne) of Waxahachie, Anne Johnson of Dallas and Stacy Gardner (James) of Denton, Md.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and spiritual children.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; two brothers, Jerry and Bob Pannell; one son, Walley Charles Leary; and one daughter.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Commerce, 1401 Washington Street, in Commerce.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Grace & Mercy Funeral Home in Greenville.
