GREENVILLE —
Jobie Turner, 81, of Greenville died Oct. 27, 2012 in a Greenville nursing home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dessie Brown officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born April 1, 1931, in Hughes Springs to Jobie and Roberta Turner. In 1989 he married Shirley Gray. He was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Gray Turner; five stepdaughters, Rachel Gray, Dana Gray, Linda Gray, Brenda Gray and Joyce Ann Roberts, all of Greenville; two sisters, Millie Stiggers of Greenville and Elizabeth Brigham of Neylandville; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, five brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
