Leona Kilpatrick

GREENVILLE — BRECKENRIDGE — Leoma Kilpatrick, 85, passed away March 7, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Cal Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Visitation will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the funeral service.

Leoma Cox was born Aug. 17, 1927, to parents, Dwight Cox and Lucy Pendleton Cox in Dallas County. She married Edward J. Kilpatrick on Aug. 15, 1945, in Breckenridge. Mrs. Kilpatrick was involved in DAR in Commerce, organized her high school class reunion, and was a skilled painter of scenery and loved to sew. She lived in Commerce for 20 years, where she was a member of Commerce Presbyterian Church, and later moved to Collierville, Tenn., in 2010. She and her family lived in many states out West and more recently Cincinnati, Ohio, and Vicksbury, Miss. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edward J. Kilpatrick; her parents, Dwight and Lucy Cox; one brother, James Pendleton; and one grandchild, Aaron.

Mrs. Kilpatrick is survived by two sons, Ed D. Kilpatrick, Marque E. Kilpatrick; two daughters, Linda K. Belt and Sharon K. Smith; grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Mitch, Ian, B.J., Stacy, Stephanie, Joe, Jeff and eight great-grandchildren.
