GREENVILLE —
Anthony Searcy was born Nov. 4, 1981, in Greenville to the parentage of Connie Evans and Anthony Searcy. He was a twin to Ashley Searcy. He graduated from Greenville High School in 2000.
He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church at an early age and later joined New Light House of Prayer. Anthony worked at L-3 Communications as a security officer.
He departed this life Jan. 14, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Connie Dennis and Anthony and Jenette Searcy; his grandparents and a brother, Robert Miles.
He leaves to treasure his memories his stepfather, Rev. Warren Dennis of Greenville; five sisters, Ashley Searcy and Alisha (Micheal) Wilson, both of Pittsburg, Texas, Tiniaya Dennis, Azabria Matthews and Chasity Dennis, all of Greenville; three brothers, Warren Dennis Jr. and LaWarren Dennis, both of Greenville, and Nakebrin Miles of Pittsburg; nieces Aniya Searcy and Morgan Dennis; nephews Ashtyn and Austin Searcy, Jamar and Jamir Wilson and McKinnley Dennis; special friend Sheree Williams; three special brothers, Larry Barksdale, Antonio Barksdale and Dennis Smith; nine aunts; five uncles and a host of relatives and friends.
Anthony’s homegoing services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel AME Church in Greenville with Rev. Fred Thomas as eulogist and Rev. Ricky Powell officiating. Burial will follow at McWright Cemetery in Celeste.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Grace & Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home, where services are entrusted.
