Terry Emanuel

GREENVILLE — Terry Thomas Emanuel, 40, passed away Jan. 12, 2013, in Sulphur Springs.

Terry was born Oct. 24, 1972, to Jerry Wayne and Sylvia Emanuel in Corona, Calif. Terry met and later married Shannon Cline in Sulphur Springs.

Terry had the heart of a servant and a compassion for his fellow man that led him to a life of community service. He was a member of the Cumby Volunteer Fire Department where he proudly served as an EMT.

Terry served his community in various capacities for over 10 years. He served at Briarcliff Health Center and Hospice Plus, as well other facilities in the immediate area. Terry loved helping others, but his true passion was for his family.

Terry loved to spend time with his family and friends and adored his wife, Shannon, and his daughter, Sarah. Terry’s was a compassionate heart and giving spirit that will truly be missed by his family, his friends and his community.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Emanuel Sr., and brothers Jerry Wayne Jr. and J.W. Emanuel.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon Emanuel; his daughter, Sarah Emanuel; son Jordan Emanuel; his mother, Sylvia Singleton and husband Jerry; brothers Kevin Singleton, Kyle Singleton, Shane Singleton, Chad Singleton and Chris Singleton; sister Sheryl Carson and husband Ray; as well as many friends and neighbors.

A gathering of friends is from 2 to 3 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville. A funeral service immediately follows visitation at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
