SHERMAN — Funeral services for Roger Wayne Morgan will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Waldo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Dr. Eddy Johnson will officiate with John Morgan, Christopher Morgan, Ben Sanders, Jason Morgan, T.J. Morgan, and Walter Morgan serving as pallbearers. Justan Morgan will be an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Morgan, 56, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 7, 2013, at his home in Sherman.

Roger was born May 2, 1956, in Sherman to the late Harry and Vera (O’Daniel) Morgan. On July 3, 1978, he and Faith Tracy were married in Sherman. Roger was retired from ICI Fiberite where he worked as a safety and health engineer.

Mr. Morgan will be remembered as a good man who dearly loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Faith of Sherman; three children, Chris Morgan of Garland, Lacey Sanders and husband Ben of Temple, and John Morgan and wife Nichole Howell of Denison; mother-in-law Juanita Tracy of Sherman; seven grandchildren, Madelyn Manley, Justan Sanders, Tyler Manley, Kiley Sanders, Noah Mack, Nicholas Morgan, and Nevaeh Morgan; one brother, Walter Morgan and wife Dee of Greenville; and one sister, Harriett McCurdy of Sherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ronald Joe Morgan and Paul Morgan.
