GREENVILLE —
Leroy Hobbs, 82, of Amarillo, died Aug. 31, 2012. His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home chapel in Greenville with Rev. James Anthony officiating. Burial will be in Benton Hill Cemetery in Point.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Son of Claudie Roy Hobbs Sr. and Lottie Mae Hobbs, he was born in Point. Mr. Hobbs served in the U.S. Army. He was a cook.
He is survived by seven sisters, Vernice Smith of DeSoto, Myrtis Richardson of Dallas, Joyce Mayberry of Lancaster, Bonnie Mathis of Dallas, Dovie McDonald (Robert) of Greenville, Marva Shaw (Jesse) of Greenville and Darlene Nutson of DeSoto; nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.
His parents and five brothers preceded him in death.
