Evelyn Louise Thompson, 71, passed away March 8, 2013, in Denison.
Evelyn was born to Wallace and Ida Pride on May 17, 1941, in Atlanta, Ga. She would meet and later marry Robert Thompson in 1962.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ida; her husband, Robert; daughter Elizabeth Scott; one brother and two sisters.
Those left to celebrate her life include her son, Robert Thompson and wife Julie; daughters Teresa Ortiz and husband Robert and Tanya Thompson; sisters Elizabeth Scarborough and Catherine Young; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
A graveside service was Tuesday at McWright Cemetery at 1 p.m. A gathering of friends and family was the same day from 10 a.m. to noon at Peters Funeral Home.
