GREENVILLE — Ruth Lanell Crawford, 82, was born Aug. 31, 1930, in Quitman, to Edwin and Quimbia Jordan and passed away Dec. 14, 2012, in Greenville.

Ruth was the sweetest mother in the world and a courageous woman of God. She has never met a stranger and has the most loving heart.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and son, Arvin Ray Crawford.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Arvin Crawford; daughter, Janet Mosley and husband Bruce; grandchildren: Kim Gates and husband Mark, Shawn Scruggs, Keri Tucker and husband Justin, and Caroline Jacobs and husband George; great-grandchildren: Alex, John Mark, Sara, Courtney, Caleb, Hayden, Lucy; sister, Louise Richey; and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be from to 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at Lynch Funeral Service. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Vansickle Baptist Church, 2181 County Road 2246, in Greenville,
