GREENVILLE — Services for Alberteen “Teen” Barrett, 82, OF Lone Oak are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, at Lone Oak Baptist Church, with Brother Robert Cook officiating.

Interment will follow in Hooker Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.

Mrs. Barrett passed away Nov. 27, 2012, at her residence.

She was born March 27, 1930, in Magee, Miss., to Albert and Ora Ainsworth Layton. She was raised in Mississippi and lived most of her adult life in Pleasant Grove, Texas, with the last 17 years in Lone Oak. She was a retired LVN.

On June 5, 1948,she married Charles Walker Barrett in Mendenhal, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother J.H. Layton, grandson Chris Barrett, and son-in-law Danny Puckett.

Survivors include four sons, Chuck and Sue Barrett of North Richland Hills, Nathan and Linda Barrett of Lone Oak, Mike and Treva Barrett of Rockwall, Terry and Sandi Barrett of Lone Oak; daughter Gayle Holmes and Chuck of Garland; two brothers, L.M. Layton of Mesquite and Jack Layton and Jean of Emory; sister Ruby Williams of Rockwall; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and caregiver Teresa.

Pallbearers will be Jason, Stephen, Aaron, Avery Barrett; Paul Korywchak, Monte, Alvis and Nick Morgan. Honorary pallbearers are her four sons.
