Funeral service for Albert Millsap Jr., 80, of Cumby will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Brashear Baptist Church with Bro. David Burns and Bro. Tim Mabe officiating. Interment will follow at Brashear Cemetery with Barry Smith, Blake Smith, Randy Millsap, Charlie Adams, David France, and Ben Wies serving as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at West Oaks Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs.
Mr. Millsap passed away Nov. 23, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 5, 1932, in Brashear, the son of Albert Millsap Sr. and Goldie Bryd Millsap.
Mr. Millsap was a member of Brashear Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Wilson Millsap of Cumby; son Bart Millsap of Mount Vernon; daughter Regina Strickland and husband Garry of Commerce; sisters Mary Smith and husband Kenneth of Brashear an Margaret Ragan and husband James of South Liberty; grandchildren Kodi Wright and husband Kaleb, Kade Millsap, Krystal Reed and husband Chad, Ashley Wright and husband Brian, Nena Millsap, and Lane Millsap, 10 great-grandchildren, stepchildren Jan Clayton, Cindy Wies, and Jeff Moreland, all of Commerce; seven stepgrandchildren; 10 great-stepgrandchildren; and one great-great-stepgranddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Sylvia Mabe Millsap, brother Weldon Millsap, and sisters Gertrude Brand and Louise Millsap.
