William Eugene “Gene” Cory, 85, of West Tawakoni, passed away July 22, 2012, at his home.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville. The service will follow immediately at 7 p.m. in the Lynch Funeral Chapel ,with Royse Litchfield officiating.
He was born April 5, 1927, in Dallas to William Leroy and Maude Mussie Cole Cory.
Gene proudly served his country in both the Navy and Air Force. He was a retired electrical engineer at SwRI in San Antonio.
He is survived by his son, Bill Cory and wife Jo of Echo, Ala.; daughter, Karen Cory of West Tawakoni; grandchildren, Mona Jackson and husband Michael of Quinlan, Matthew Cory of Austin, Andrew Cory of Austin; great grandchildren, Keith Jackson, and Piper Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Cory.
