GREENVILLE — Kenneth William Swanson Sr., 66, of Greenville went to be with his Lord and Savior Aug. 25, 2012, at his home. No services are planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home, Quinlan, Texas.

Kenneth was born Dec. 22, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to William H. Swanson and Mildred M. Mulholland. He was the son of a military father and was raised and attended school in several states. Kenneth followed in his father’s military footsteps, serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was married to the former Donna Heard and has been a Greenville resident for approximately 25 years. Kenneth was a nurse and had a 10-year career working at a Rockwall hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Kenneth William Swanson Jr.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife of Greenville; sisters Karin M. Gunter and Christell T. Lewis of Stokesdale, N.C.; two nieces; three nephews; one great-niece; and seven great-nephews.
