CANTON —
Services for Gilbert “G.D.” Stout, 80, of Canton are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Eubank Funeral chapel with Bro. Steve Glosup and Bro. Adam Key officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton.
He passed away Saturday in Tyler.
Mr. Stout was born May 8, 1932 in Canton to William Floyd Stour and Eunice Irene Walsh Stout.
He was a member of Old Bethel Baptist. Gilbert had lived in Canton most of his life and retired from E-Systems in Greenville after 39 years of service.
He was a lifelong farmer and rancher, Gilbert was an avid domino player.
Surviving are Wife, Katie Lavelle Stout of Canton; daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Billy Wilbanks of Trinidad; son and daughter-in-law, bert and Betty Stout of Allen; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Sid Howell of Canton; daughter, Cindy Stout of Canton; three grandchildren, Amy and John Morris, Melissa and Kirk Hill and Beki Stout; five step-grandchildren, John Wilbanks, Carla Kennedy, Beth Frost, Chris Howell and Megan Howell; three great-grandchildren, Kati Morris, Laci Morris and Jeffrey Hill; two sisters, Doris Burns and Sheryl Williamson, both of Canton.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marguerite Beal and son-in-law, Ronnie Ware.
Visitation is scheduled 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
