GREENVILLE —
Valerie Deneen Canady, 48, of Greenville died Aug. 27, 2012, at the Greenville hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel AME Church of Greenville with Pastor Jimmy Sherman officiating. Burial will be at Grundy Memorial Park.
Born July 13, 1964, in Sulphur Springs, she was the daughter of Otha Lee and Betty Lee Boyd Jackson. She married Ferman Canady of Aug. 28, 1989, in Emory.
Mrs. Canady was a cook for Greenville Independent School District. She was a member of Starlight Gospel Church Ministries.
Surviving are her husband of Greenville; her father of Emory; three sons, Christopher Canady, Christan Canady and Cameron Canaday, all of Greenville; two brothers, Otha Lee Jackson of Houston and Timothy Jackson of Emory; and two sisters, Jan Boyd and Sherry Hunter (Sonnie).
She was preceded in death by her mother, a brother and a number of uncles and aunts.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.
