WOLFE CITY —
Bobby Dearald Ethridge of Gordonsville died Dec. 19, 2012.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home chapel with Wendyl Glenn officiating. Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday morning.
Mr. Ethridge was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Celeste to James LeRay Ethridge and Ella May Jones Ethridge. On Aug. 8, 1950, he married Allie Marettia Forbes in Celeste. He was a retired auto mechanic and a Korean War veteran. He was a member of Sherwood Shores Baptist Church in Gordonsville where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife of Collinsville; a son, Jimmy Ethridge and wife, Kathy, of Whitesboro; a daughter, Sue Ann Thurston of Sherman; one granddaughter, Beth Ann Thurston; two grandsons, Derek Ethridge and wife, Kendra, of Whitesboro, Joshua Thurston and wife, Nicole of Cove, Ark.; seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Thurston, Ryan Thurston and Shelby Thurston, all of Sherman, Payton Ethridge of Whitesboro, Alison Thurston, Jack Thurston and Katie Thurston, all of Cove, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Hazel, Erma and Jeanie; two brothers Ray Ethridge and twin brother Bill Ethridge..
Pallbearers will be family members.
