James Krodle

GREENVILLE — James Morris Krodle, 87, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Briarcliff Health Center. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memoryland Memorial Park under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Brian Padelford officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Caddo Mills to William and Jenny Pike Krodle.  On May 30, 1943, he married the love of his life, Mary Alice Kurfees in Hugo, Okla.  They have shared a life together for almost 69 years. 

James was a Master Plumber and businessman in Greenville. He enjoyed most of all being with his family, socializing with his friends over the years and traveling and gardening.  James had a kind and caring heart and loved to help others.He was of the Church of Christ faith. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

His survivors include his wife, Mary Krodle of Greenville; son, Phil Krodle and wife, Carol of Greenville; granddaughter Lisa Sherer and husband, Rick of Greenville; and many nephews and nieces. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, W. W. Krodle, Eldork Krodle, Otis Krodle and John Krodle; sisters, Vivian Cathey and Elnora Sealey; and great-grandson, Kevin Lynn Sherer.
