GREENVILLE —
Ronnie C. Houston, 75, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Crossroads Assembly of God Church with Rev. Butch Bruton and Rev. Larry Allgood officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Ronnie was born in Greenville on April 2, 1937, to Otto Clyde and Madeline Long Houston. He married Debby Fuller Nicholson in Greenville on March 4, 1998.
Ronnie retired from Raytheon after 36 years. He went to New Life Church in Caddo Mills where he was a devout Christian.
Ronnie was a man loved by many with a humorous personality. His generous spirit touched all he came in contact with.
He is survived by his wife of Greenville; sons, Rickey Houston and wife Sherri, Dennis Houston and wife Diann; daughter, Robin Bench; step-daughter, Michelle Hemingway all of Greenville; step-son, Michael Nicholson and wife Dorothy of Bedford; grandchildren, Ryan Houston, Adam Houston, Jeremy Houston, Amanda Bench, Channing Hemingway, Jadah Nicholson, Moshe Nicholson, Kayla Carson, Jared Bruner, Ashley Strait, and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a loving cousin, Bill Sheppeard.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Houston, Adam Houston, L. D. “Mickey” Mixson, Mike Kemp, Tommy Hood, and Greg Jones.
