GREENVILLE —
Harold Edgar Snider, 82, of Greenville passed away Oct. 22, 2012, in a Sherman hospital. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel. Glenda McLemore will officiate.
Born April 11, 1930, in Muncie, Ind., Harold was the son of Virgil and Lula (Moody) Snider. On July 14, 1956, in Muncie, he married Janet Sue Evans.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as an electrical engineer for E/Systems and for the City of Greenville.
He was a member of several organizations that include the Elks, Shriners, Masons, American Legion, and V.F.W., and he was a member of the Methodist faith.
His survivors include his wife of Greenville; sons Scott Harold Snider of Biloxi, Miss., Stephen Michael Snider of Greenville, and Stanley Glen Snider of Amarillo;
brother Victor Snider of Indianapolis, Ind.; five grandchildren, Shannon J. Snider, Jenna C. Campbell, Michael D. Snider, Evan T. Snider, and Emily A. Snider; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Greenville Elks Lodge, 3504 Wesley, Greenville, 75401 to camp for handicapped children.
