GREENVILLE —
Sherwin June Sandlin, 62, of Greenville went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 6, 2012.
She was born Feb 6, 1950, in Dalllas to Johnny and Josephine Myers.
Sherwin was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Myers.
She is survived by her best friend, love of her life of 47 years, David Lee Sandlin; son Ronnie Lee Sandlin and daughter-in-law Brandi; grandsons Colton, Caeston, and Casey; son Dustin Lee Sandlin and daughter-in-law Candie; granddaughter Macie and grandson Masin; her father, Johnny Myers Sr.; father-in-law Bert Sandlin; mother-in-law Christine Sandlin; sisters Linda Merritt and brother-in-law Charles and Brenda Conkel and brother-in-law Bob; a brother, Johnny Myers Jr. and sister-in-law Debbie; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom Sherwin loved deeply and will cherish eternally.
To know her was to know the love of the Savior she passionately pursued in life and unto death, as well as fierce love of family and faithful devotion to the power of prayer. These attributes marked her life; and though she will be missed by those of us who remain, she has been welcomed home by her Lord to enjoy His presence and enter His peace forever.
A memorial service will be held at her home church, First Baptist Church-Greenville, at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Services are under the direction of Lynch Funeral Service.
