Morris Barwick

GREENVILLE — Morris Lucien Barwick was born Oct. 18, 1934, in Avon Park, Fla., to Morris Novelle and Thelma Pauline (Bost) Barwick and passed away Nov. 17, 2012 ,in Greenville. Morris attended Miami Jackson High School in Miami, Fla., and graduated from University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He worked as a contract engineer on many interesting military and space projects, as well as qualifying for a private pilot license.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ann Barwick; daughter Sheryl Ann Barwick of Ringwood, N.J.; sons Paul David Jacobus and wife Cathie of Little Rock, Ark., and Steven Wayne Jocobus and wife Kathie of Arlington; grandsons Brad Wesley Jacobus and wife Cortney, Raymond Walter Jacobus and wife Sheri, and Kristopher Wayne Jacobus and wife Jodi; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Howard of Tulsa, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Morris was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service is at 10 a.m. today at the Wieland Church of Christ.

Lynch Funeral Service of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help with funeral expenses.
