WOLFE CITY —
Marion L. Pierce, 90, of Leonard passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, at Legend Health Care Center of Greenville.
Mr. Pierce was born Aug. 30, 1921, in Powderly to Theodore P. and Josie Williams Pierce. He married Mildred Lytal on June 1, 1946, in Wolfe City.
Mr. Pierce was a retired crew foreman for Hunt County and was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and served in both the European and Asiatic Theaters.
Survivors are his wife of the home, a son; Mike Pierce and wife Tina of Celeste; three grandchildren; Nathan, Dustin and Chasey; three great-grandchildren,l Kyle, Kolton and Kirra along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, conducted by Bro. Brett Bird.
The family will receive friends at the R. W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
