Sallie Annette Simmons, 57, passed away Nov. 11, 2012, after a long illness.
Annette was born on Jan. 11, 1955, to Harley and Marjorie Brown in Charleston, S.C.
Annette was a resident of Campbell for about seven years. She was a respected and loved medical technician at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville before her illness cut short her career. Annette was a member of the New Life Church in Caddo Mills.
Affectionately known as “the Boss,” Annette was a devoted wife, loving mother and a doting grandmother. She loved her two constant companions, Cuervo and Moe Dog, but her greatest passion was her family. She will truly be missed.
Annette was preceded by her mother, Marjorie, and her aunt, Josephine Newton. Those left to celebrate her life include her husband, Clyde Simmons; sons Chris Lindley and wife Cynthia, David Simmons, Lucky Simmons and Nicholas Simmons; daughters Sandra Simmons, Erin Day and husband Donald and Amanda Simmons; grandchildren Estevan, Cynthia, Kyla, Kaiden, Philip, Isabel and Shaley; her father, Harley Brown; sisters Debbi Morel and husband Dave, Marjorie Guin and husband Jim and Lena Ehlert and husband Mark; 15 nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends and neighbors.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Church in Caddo Mills. Interment will immediately follow the service at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Peters Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
