Mary Ann Taylor Smith passed away Dec. 31, 2012, at her home in Commerce.
She was born Nov. 27, 1943, to O.R. Pete and Ruby Gray Taylor in Greenville. She had battled lymphoma and cancer for five years but could not recover.
Mary was a prominent businesswoman in Greenville and was the owner of Lekrotech, Inc. She never met a stranger and had a wonderful and caring spirit.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Caradine of Commerce; her daughter and granddaughter, Julie and Ciara Perozzi of Commerce; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Peggy Taylor of Wills Point; nephews Steve Taylor of Edgewood and Scott and Jeanne Taylor of Canton; one aunt, Mildred Rossee of Rockwall; special cousins and family and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Ruby Taylor; grandparents Milton and Rosa Gray and Jake and Maude Taylor; two uncles and two aunts.
A memorial service is planned at Pilgrim Rest Church at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 20 with Bro. Jeff Thompson officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Cancer Research, Baylor, Charles A Sammons Cancer Center, 3410 Worth Street, Dallas, 75246 in memory of Mary Ann Taylor Smith, or to a charity of choice.
