W.P. “Phil” Woehleke, 66, of Greenville passed away unexpectedly Jan. 5, 2013, at Hunt County Regional Medical Center in Greenville.

He was born Aug. 5, 1946, in Dallas to parents Lois and William Woehleke.

Phil was a true, authentic, big-hearted Texan who was loved by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren, one great-grandson, extended family and many friends. He began his career as a mechanical engineer with E-Systems in 1974 and continued until he retired in 2006.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gil Woehleke.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa Woehleke; daughter Stacie Carroll of Roswell, N.M.; grandsons Morgen Beams and wife Mindy of Tulsa, Okla., and Joel Gonzales of Roswell, N.M.; a granddaughter, Brittany Brice and husband Brandon of Willis; and great-grandson Morgen Beams Jr. of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Corley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Christopher Burge officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Grandsons and other friends of the family will be pallbearers.
