GREENVILLE — Clemon E. “Fat Man” Allen departed this life on July 13, 2012.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Grace and Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m.Friday at Grundy Memorial Park.

Mr. Allen was born April 29, 1945, in Ben Franklin, Texas, to Clemon Allen and Nettie Sweat Allen. He was a construction worker until his retirement.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory two sisters, Mary A. Ekpenyong and husband Bassey of Greenville and Virginia L. Conley and husband Richard of Fontana, Calif.; a brother William L. Allen of Pasco, Wash.; a niece, Regina Conley; nephews Keenan Allen and wife Tyra, Gavin Jimmerson, James Allen Jr. and wife LuCretia, Brian Conley, Richard Conley Jr.; great-nephews Jerrion, Lance, Landon, Vincent, Jemetric, Jakwan, Demarcus Allen and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Allen. He was a wonderful brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him.
