GREENVILLE —
Larry Allen Baker, 60, of Greenville died July 13, 2012 at Medical Center of Plano. A memorial services will be at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating.
Larry was born Nov. 7, 1951 in Fort Worth to Alfred Thomas and Sarah McMillan Baker. He married Michelle Lee on Nov. 28, 1993 in Greenville. Larry served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was of the Baptist faith. He worked for GEUS/City of Greenville as an engineering technician for more than 25 years. He loved NASCAR, the Earnhardts and baseball, especially the Rangers.
His family includes his four children, Wendy Jeanne Baker, who preceded him in death, Justin Allen Baker of Dallas, Roxy Leigh Baker of Wills Point and Lisa Dawn Russell and husband Layne of Greenville; wife, Michelle Lee Baker of Greenville; brothers, David Baker and wife Sherie of Farmersville, Richard Baker and wife Patti of Caddo Mills, Michael Baker and wife Cheri of Campbell; grandchildren, Kathryn Grace “Red” Baker Cross of Wills Point, Wendy Jade Baker Cross of Wills Point, Justin Andre Baker of Waxahachie, Kylee Watson of Kansas, and Kelli VanWinkle of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Cooper Dane Watson, Sophia Grace Watson, Bella Kai Watson and Madeline Blue VanWinkle all of Kansas, Kira Jayd VanWinkle and Presley VanWinkle of Greenville; mother to his children, Michele Bell of Wills Point; best friend, Fred Reeves of Jefferson; Wendy Jeanne’s best friend, Jennifer Crumpton of Cumby, his fury children, Midnight Wend and Tenna Sox, sisters-in-law, Cheryl Pipkin of Mineola, Beth Searles of Forney, son-in-law Tommy Cross of Wills Point, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jack Thomas Baker, and sister, Carole Smith Baker.
