Chester Fuller


COMMERCE — Chester Leon Fuller, 86, of Commerce passed away peacefully at his home Sept. 8, 2012.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Commerce Funeral Home. A Masonic ceremony will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Denison.

He was born April 23, 1926, in Leonard, the son of J.B. Fuller and Ophelia St. John Fuller.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, whom he married Oct. 31, 1948, in Lead, S.D. Mr. Fuller was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired as a service man at Lone Star Gas Company. In addition he dedicated more than 20 years of honorable service with the Commerce Volunteer Fire Department. He was also an active member of the Masonic Lodge for 55 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Linda Fuller of Plano, Betty Hall and husband Bill of Commerce, Susan Miller and husband Glen of Allen, and Bryan Fuller and wife Grace of Wills Point; a brother, Charles Reginald Fuller and wife Nancy of Copper Canyon; his sisters, Mary Rencher of Sherman, Jackie Moore of Aurora, Colo., LaNell Green of Quinlan; grandchildren Tara Lovell, Lee Harris, Nikki Fuller, Stephanie Weber, Katie Miller, Raelynn Fowler, Crissie Fowler; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William Fuller.
