GREENVILLE —
Elizabeth Ridley Fleming, 88, passed from this life on Sept. 4, 2012. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Bill Fleming, Carole Duvall, and Jeff Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
Elizabeth was born Nov. 21, 1923, to Fred and Chloe (Henderson) Ridley of Campbell. She graduated from Campbell High School and attended East Texas State University. On April 21, 1945, she married Nathan A. Fleming in Campbell; they lived in Dallas and later Grand Prairie.
Survivors include her twin sister, Caroline Gibson of Tyler; a son, Gary Fleming of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law Joan and Mike Hill of Colleyville; granddaughters Natalie Doyle and husband Anthony of Fort Worth and Allison Hill of Colleyville; great-grandchildren Trinity, Kyla and Logan Doyle; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and loyal friends.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 57 years, Nathan A. Fleming; a brother, Rev. Robert Ridley; and sisters Dorris George and Mary Fleming.
Elizabeth’s happy spirit, faith in God and love for life touched many people throughout her long and happy journey in this world. She was a respected member of a large close-knit family whom she loved unconditionally. The kindness, joy, and love she brought to all those around her will truly be missed.
Pallbearers will be Mark Duvall, Matthew Duvall, Bill Fleming Jr., Brad Freeman, Jonathan Gibson, Brian Green, Jeff Thompson and Josh Thompson.
