GREENVILLE —
The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office was searching Thursday night for three suspects who were alleged to have committed a home invasion armed robbery near Commerce earlier in the day.
Sheriff Randy Meeks said the report came in of the robbery shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday from a residence off of FM 2874, north of Commerce.
“Three black males were reported to have entered the home,” Meeks said. “Two of them had masks on. I think they may have gotten money and maybe some electronics equipment. They were supposed to have left in a white vehicle.”
No one was injured during the reported robbery. Deputies were still on the scene at nightfall, investigating the incident.
“They ordered the people in the home to lie down on the floor, but nobody was hurt,” Meeks said.
