GREENVILLE — The Hunt County Sheriff's Office expects to file charges this afternoon against a Campbell area couple, the reported caregivers of a 2-year-old boy who was found dead in a vehicle on the FM 513 overpass early Sunday morning. The child was believed to have died from "massive blunt force trauma", according to Chief Deputy Joe Knight, who called it "the worse case I have ever seen", with the child having suffered abuse for some time. Sheriff's deputies and the Dallas Police Department are searching for the boy's mother, who has legal custody of the child, but who left the boy with the couple an unknown time ago. The name of the victim is not being released, as the couple are not the legal next of kin. Additional details will be in Tuesday's Herald-Banner.
