GREENVILLE —
Several vacancies in Greenville city government were filled Tuesday night during the Greenville City Council’s regular session.
The council made multiple appointments in order to fill vacancies on several boards and commissions after sending out a public request late last month asking interested persons to come forward and volunteer to assume roles in municipal government.
Sandy Rapp was reappointed to fill Place 5 on the Board of Adjustments with Terry Sadler being reappointed for Alternate 2 and Kevin Himes filling Alternate 3 for two-year term.
L.D. Mixson, Kim Quimby and Jeff Bridges were reappointed to the Board of Parks and Recreation for Place 4, 5 and 6 respectively.
Claire Burnett was reappointed to Place 2 on the Library Advisory Board and Bill Rapp was reappointed to Place 6 on the Main Street Advisory Board
The Planning and Zoning Commission received two reappointments with Berniece Reeves Brown taking Place 2 and George Gregg filling Place 1 and the Substandard Structures Rehabilitation Board received two reappointments as well, with Ray McKinney filling Place 1 and James Sandin taking Place 2.
Several positions have yet to be filled like those on the Tourism and Advisory Board.
