KAUFMAN —
Authorities say a North Texas county employee has been shot by two unknown suspects outside a courthouse building.
Pat Laney of the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting occurred just before 9 a.m. Thursday outside a building across from the main Kaufman County courthouse. Laney says the employee was shot by two suspects who remain at large.
The employee was transported to an area hospital, but Laney did not immediately know his condition.
Laney says the courthouse is no longer on lockdown.
