GREENVILLE —
A Royse City woman has been indicted for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from a sorority, while a Royse City man has been charged with deadly conduct in connection with a reported shooting in May.
The indictments filed against Jorden Rianne Dabbs and Donald Ray Bowers were among 61 issued December 14 by the Hunt County grand jury, including 17 indictments issued sealed pending the arrest of the person or persons named in the charges.
Three no-bills were also issued.
The session was the last for the panel, which ended its six-month term of serving up indictments for consideration by the 354th District Court. The grand jury issued 389 indictments since being seated in July.
— Dabbs, 22, of Royse City, was indicted on one count of theft of between $1,500 and $20,000 by aggregate amount. Dabbs was alleged in the indictment to have stolen a total of $9,050.80 from the Alpha Phi Sorority-Delta Beta Chapter between January 30 and May 8 of this year. Dabbs was arrested on the charge on August 1.
— Bowers, 25, of Royse City, was indicted on one count of deadly conduct by discharging firearm. Bowers was alleged in the indictment to have fired at a male victim on May 8 and was arrested on the charge on the same day.
