GREENVILLE — Greenville Independent School District spokesperson Keli Tharp has confirmed that the report of a suspicious person outside of Greenville Middle School, issued by the district earlier day, was a case of mistaken identity.
The individual in question was a family friend of the student and was offering the student a ride home.
The district will be updating its web site shortly with a corrected statement.
The City of Greenville will wrap up its first round of spraying for mosquitoes tonight.
Hunt County, or at least half of it, is again under “severe” drought conditions.
Mosquito season is officially under way in North Texas.

Thomas Fry, crime analyst and computer technician for the Rockwall Police Department since 2005, joined the City of Royse City staff on May 6 as senior project manager.
